Performs the integration of the given functional using the given alpha and beta density matrices.

The nuclear derivative contribution is placed in nuclear_grad, if it is non-null.

Implements sc::DenIntegrator.

Save the base classes (with save_data_state) and the members in the same order that the StateIn CTOR initializes them.

This must be implemented by the derived class if the class has data.
